ACCOMMODATION INFORMATION

QIAS is able to help provide you with accommodation for the duration of your stay in Egypt with us or help you to find the acommodation that is right for you. This is possible through a number of methods:

1) Staying in Qortobas own shared apartments. These apartments are single sex, double or single room are available. The apartments are clean, fully furnished and all bills are paid for within the cost. A cleaning service is provided every month in order to clean the apartment.

2) Helping you to find your own apartment. Qortoba is able to help you find your own aparment. Qortoba is able to organise viewings of apartments based on your specifications and act as a translator and negotiator on your behalf in order to find you own apartment. You will sign a contract with the landlord of the apartment that you choose and all agreements will be between you and them. Qortoba will not be responsible for any problems or issues you encouter thereafter, however we are able to help you in terms of translating or speaking to your landlord if any issues do occur. There is a viewing fee associated with Qortoba showing you apartments. Upon the signing of a contract Qortoba will take 25% of your first months rent as a finders fee.

3) Providing you with temporary accomodation. We are able to provide you with temporary accommodation, either within our own apartments or by arranging a whole apartment for you to stay in temporarily. If you choose this service you will pay per night for the duration of your stay. 

4) Finding you an apartment prior to your arrival in Egypt, as near to your description as possible and with the terms and conditons agreed upon before your arrival. You will go straight from the airport to your flat

Please Note:

• It is possible for students to share a flat and split the rental cost. Also, while the above estimates reflect current rent prices in the summer and winter, prices can still fluctuate. QIAS will try our best to inform you of any major changes.
• This increase is usually from 25% to 30%.If you stay in a flat for a short period of time (i.e. less than 3 - 6 months) then landlords are likely to increase the rent of the flat.
• It is the norm here in Egypt for landlords to ask for one month's rent as a deposit for the flat. This will be returned to you at the end of the contract. Landlords also ask for a deposit for the phone. They fear that tenants will not pay phone bills. This deposit, also refundable, is usually in the region of 500 LE or more. However, all things are negotiable.

Single room: 900 Egyptian pounds per month

Shared double room: 600 Egyptian pounds per month

Complete Apartment: 1700-2300 Egyptian pounds per month

QIAS Accommodation in Cairo*

Single room: 125 - 150 Euros per month

Shared double room: 100 - 125 Euros per month

Complete Apartment: 2000-3000 Egyptian pounds per month
